So two days ago, I drove almost 3 hours to Chula Vista. Going to San Diego to chill and see a couple of friends was part of my summer-to-do list and I know I probably I wouldn’t be able to do it next week. I had one problem though; I had work at 6pm so I had to leave early around 2:30. So I arrived at my Twin’s place at 1, called Kenny and told him to meet us at Lolita’s where I had my FIRST carne asada fries! It was amaaaaaaazing. It was too big for us to eat though so I ended up taking the rest with me. After Lolita’s it was 1:50 so we had a few minutes to go to the dam [and not get our manicure, pedicure, eyebrows waxed, balboa park, or to the beach; but we can do that next break :)]. We hiked up a couple of minutes till we reached the dam and omg, it was hella steep and high. There weren’t any railings to hold on to in the middle either! Wtfeeeezy?! We finally reached the middle and just sat there overlooking the right side for a little while. It was so beautiful. Sitting there in silence listening to the lake, the mountains, the turtles, the one duck, the palm tress under us… I live for these kinds of moments. I was in amazement. We then went to the other side of the dam around the lake. The turtle we saw was gone but we did see many many lizards. Yuck. haha. Went back around; 2:23, it was time to leave.

Highlight of the summer thus far, even if it was just for an hour and a half. Thank you guys. 

WOW where is the dam?? Ive never been there!
